Blogs are everywhere today… in fact, you’re reading one right now.
Back in 2004 I began hearing allot of buzz about Blogs. Seemed as if everybody was suggesting to use them and I started seeing them popping up all over the Internet. Problem was…
I didn’t understand them…
I didn’t know how to create them…
They looked pretty complicated…
I wasn’t sure how they fit into my marketing mix…
I didn’t have time to learn about them now.
…Fast Forward to May 2005…
I was invited to a conference call being hosted by Armand Morin where it was promised I would learn about an exciting new technology that would take my business to new heights.
Yeah sure… how many times have I heard that?
Well, I did get on the call and Armand delivered as promised and much more.
He explained Blogs in simple terms that even I could now begin to understand them.
He showed me how easily they could be created with NO HTML knowledge. It was as easy as typing a letter to a friend with a word processor. And, he showed me how I could create one with absolutely NO COST.
Perhaps the most exciting… he opened my eyes to how they could fit into my marketing efforts… and MAKE MONEY with them.
That got my attention and as a result… I bought the automated “blog and ping” software he was selling (seems like every conference call has a sales pitch) and made the time to learn more as I began the process of implementing the technology into my business.
Within 24 hours, my first Blog was online.
Why had I waited so long to do this? It was surprisingly EASY!
The next day I put my first so-called “money” site online – a Blog combined with a content site.
What I had feared and avoided for a year was far simpler than I could have imagined. I was so charged that I called my brother and explained to him what I had discovered so far. We explored together some ideas of how we might make money with this technology and together we put together a second “money” site – and it was online the next day.
One interesting side benefit (or perhaps a MAJOR benefit) of the blog was how fast we were able to get our web sites spidered and indexed by the Yahoo and Google search engines. Within 48 hours our sites were included in Yahoo and Google!
About 1-week after launching my first two money sites I was earning a little over $1 from my efforts. The next day it grew to over $2… and then nearly $4 a day later.
Well, that’s interesting, I thought to myself. After just 10-days and with just a few hours of effort, I’m making $4 a day – that’s $120 a month – or $1,460 a year… and without any fancy search engine optimization or any of that guru stuff.
And, it’s PASSIVE! I’ve done the work once and it will keep earning for me day after day.
Hummm? Perhaps if I duplicated that effort and created another couple money sites earning $4 a day, I could double my blogging income.
Now I’m getting excited. I explained to my brother how cool this was working and how I would be really happy if I were to reach my goal of earning $10 a day. The plan was to simply duplicate my previous efforts and keep adding new money sites every few days.
In order to make things as efficient as possible and keep the time investment to a minimum, I put together a “system” using the new “blog and ping” software I purchased with some existing software I already had for automatically creating content pages that allowed me to roll out a new money site every few days. From start-to-finish, it took about 4 hours of work to have a new site working for me 24/7/365.
Over the next 30-days, I put online six more money sites and so far my income had only grown to about $6 a day. What I noticed was some “topics” did better than others. One site might be earning for me a couple of dollars while another was floundering at only a few cents.
But… that’s okay because I understand success belongs to the relentless.
At this point, a little over a month has passed and I’m earning about $6 a day in passive income from the eight money sites I created… and more are planned.

Now… to the point of this message – “The Cost of Procrastination”
Had I not procrastinated for over a year in getting started – and assuming the best these money sites ever did over the year was only $6 a day, how much income had I missed out on?
And from what I’ll share next… that $2,190 is MINIMUM. I have no doubt the daily earnings will continue to grow as the sites mature over time and begin drawing more traffic.
Now, here’s a kicker…
With some pretty simple steps of implementing this technology over the next month with several web sites I already had online and already had established some traffic to, I was totally blown away.
In nearly every case, those sites went from their current state of not earning anything to earning money for me OVER NIGHT! In one case it happened in as little as three hours.
My combined daily earnings from those existing sites are now about $50 a day!
Now, that really changes things. I’ve been LOSING at least $50 a day for over a year because of my lame excuses for not doing anything and brings the cost of my procrastination up to at least a whopping $20,440!
Further… I’m pretty sure had I started doing this the year before, my daily earnings would now be much higher across the board. I would estimate the true cost of my procrastination could be somewhere between $50,000 and $100,000.
Have you ever wanted to kick yourself for not doing something? I sure did!
But… rather than kicking myself or beating myself up for being a procrastinator, I am now taking positive steps in support of my NEW goal of $100 a day.
What’s the lesson here?
Procrastination DOES NOT pay. In fact, it can cost you allot.
What are you putting off because you don’t fully understand it, or don’t think you’ve got time for, or whatever the reason?
How much is your procrastination costing you?
Rather than letting those dollars continue to slip away, why not do something today to get more clarity in your situation and take a little baby step towards accomplishing it?
