Credit Based List Builders continue to be the most effective form of advertising I've been using and have been directly responsible for growing my business over the past months.

Following are some of the List Builders I use and recommend. All are FREE to join and use.

FREE Credits Included:

I recommend everyone begin using these two mailers because you are able to send your solo ad's without having to click on other ads to generate mailing credits.

• The List Auction (1.60% CTR | 2.11% Conversion)
  Free members can send 500 emails every 7 days or click for additional mailing credits. I generally click on enough ads to send an additional 1,500 every two weeks.

• Viral Ad Store (2.15% CTR | 1.74% Conversion)
  Free members can send 500 emails every 7 days or click for additional mailing credits. I generally click on enough ads to send an additional 1,500 every two weeks. The relatively low click value (5 – 8 credits) for reading emails means it will take a bit longer to accumulate additional credits.
  

Surf for Credits or Purchase Credits:

The following credit based list builders are also very effective. However, you will have to invest a little time clicking on other ads sent to you in order to generate mailing credits. As a paid member, you will be able to send your ads using your upgraded credits, saving you allot of time.

1. List Surfing [6.71% CTR | .56% Conversion]
   I particularly like using List Surfing because you can get UNLIMITED traffic to your web site and at the same time it allows me to send email ads to it's members. With a FREE membership in List Surfing, you are allowed to send 200 emails every day. With the short 10 second timer spent viewing each page you surf, you can earn those 200 mailing credits per day by spending a little over 30 minutes per day surfing. Although the conversion rate has slipped in recent months, I continue to like this List Builder and suspect I need to better target the advertising to improve the conversion rate.

3. Adchiever [2.98% CTR | 1.58% Conversion]
   How about a Listbuilder that awards credits based on achievements? Earn credits for logging in, confirming your link, referring people, surfing, reading emails, everything! Another gem by Listbuilder Guru Darren Olander. I joined this credit based list builder as a Platinum member in order to email 1,500 random members every 3 days (no credits needed). Free members can email 1,200 members every day using credits.
   

4. Viral Nugget [3.57% CTR | .91% Conversion]
   Viral Nugget continues to be a strong performer and I have recently raised its recommendation.
   

5. Prospect Geyser Coop [1.61% CTR | 2.51% Conversion]
   This Safelist System is a sister to the Prospect Geyser organic lead system under the leadership of Internet Training expert, Janet Legere. With the credit based mailer you can email your ads to the safelist up to 6 times a day using your credits. Using the simple mailer you can send your ads to the entire list one time per week for free members and once a day for upgraded Gold members. This feature is great because it lets you mail even when you don't have any credits left.
   

6. Viral Hosts [0.49% CTR | 5.04% Conversion]
   Free members are able to send solo ads to those in their Viral Hosts downline but not random members. You will need to upgrade to at least a Gold level to email 3,300 random members every 3 days. While the CTR is pretty low with this, the conversion rate is very high indicating those that read your emails are more serious marketers.
   

7. YourHugeList [1.13% CTR | 2.28% Conversion]
   YourHugeList recently moved higher from my List Builders to Consider to my Recommended list as it's performance has improved over recent months.
8. BuildMyDownlines [2.42% CTR | .53% Conversion]
   You can e-mail random members with your advertising credits as well as e-mail your downline 5 levels deep without credits. Advertising credits are earned from our site by clicking on e-mail credit links or text ads within our site. You can also purchase credits cheaply if you wish to advertise this way without earning them.
   

9. Viral Mail Profits [1.32% CTR | 1.77% Conversion]
   I have used this system to manage all my credit based list builders and have been very happy with them since they recently launched their own mailer.
10. ListJoe [1.51% CTR | .68% Conversion]
    While being a long-time favorite, List Joe has been suffering lately from some unethical advertisers using techniques that undermine the credit system. The owner is addressing the issues and its performance should improve in the coming months.

Additional List Builders to Consider

Although these List Builders do not make my top-10 list, they do still have some merit, in my opinion, and I continue to use them as secondary advertising sources. Before using these, you should have first mastered the above top-10.

• The Lead Magnet [2.0% CTR | 5.71% Conversion]
  FREE Members can Email Their Downline (10 Levels Deep) plus 250 Members Without any Credits. You can earn credits by clicking on emails (15 – 40 credits) to send your mailings. I have been pretty impressed with the results of The Lead Magnet, it still warrants a little more testing before getting my full recommendation.
• State of the Art Mailer [4.33% CTR | 0.35% Conversion]
• List Insomnia [.36% CTR | 5.75% Conversion]
  While the click through rate is pretty low, it's higher conversion rate makes this a good alternative.
• ReactiveADZ [0.31% CTR | 2.97% Conversion]
  This new listbuilder by Bill Portnova has a number of new ideas and features. He's got some killer credit deals and a unique new goal system for earning free credits. Definitely worth checking out!
• List Building Maximizer [0.23% CTR | 1.41% Conversion]
• List Effects [.79% CTR | 1.15% Conversion]
  Free members can email 500 random members and referrals down 10 levels every 10 days. Upgraded members can email up to 6K members every 3 days in addition to your downline!
• List Volta [.55% CTR | .66% Conversion]
  As a free member of List Volta you can send 500 emails per day.
• RevoList [0.87% CTR | .51% Conversion]
  Although this mailer does not have the best performance among those I've tested, it has been responsible for some enrollments and I recommend it as a secondary mailer to be used once the above recommended mailers have been maximized.

List Builders with Potential

These following list builders have performed pretty well in my early testing but still need more use before I can fully recommend them.

• List Ablaze [6.74% CTR | 1.87% Conversion]
  The only downside I've found with this mailer so far is its low click credits (4 – 8 credits) when accumulating credits to use the mailer.
• List Bonus [4.08% CTR | 1.88% Conversion]
  This is one of the fastest growing new Listbuilders right now. ListBonus is by Bill Maloney and Jon Nastor, two up and coming Internet Marketers. The conservative click value (15 credits) for reading emails will take a bit longer to accumulate enough credits to send a mailing, but it is still somewhat better than others.
• List Zillion [.95% CTR | 3.36% Conversion]
• Viral Ads Unleashed [0.64% CTR | 7.14% Conversion]
• Viral List Builder Plus [7.08% CTR | 2.04% Conversion]

List Builders I'm Testing

I am always testing additional List Builder resources to either recommend or not recommend to my team. Here are a few I'm still testing:

  This is a top rated safelist at SafeListRankings.com
• Active Safelist [0.16% CTR | 11.76% Conversion]
  You get 35,000 signup credits with your free membership to test your results.
• Equus Safelist
  You get 10,000 signup credits with your free membership to test your results.
• Genie Mailer
  This one is new with a growing membership. Get 5,000 credits when you join FREE and for a limited time get FREE upgrade to WISH level. I like the higher than average click value (75 credits) when clicking emails to accumulate sending credits.
• TripleQuik Ads
  This mailer has recently been merged with ListQuik and testing is still early.
• ListQuik [1.71% CTR | 2.43% Conversion]
  ListQUIK has a huge database and is one of THE Largest and fastest growing Lifetime Membership Mailing Companies in the World!
  
  

• Top Tier Mailer
  This is one of the newest list builders on the scene and I've just begun testing it. I like the higher click credit value (25 credits) which means it takes less time to accumulate enough credits to send my mailing.
• YourEZList

Note: The above CTR (Click Through Rate) is an average of clicks on ALL emails sent. The Conversion rate is an average of those clicks that subsequently take whatever action is called for in the email. That might be completing a lead capture form, a free sign up or paid member.

Not Recommended
I have tested these extensively and decided to not use them any longer because the click through ratios and conversion rates were very poor making them a complete waste of time.
