Expand Your Business Nationwide

Every day, from the crack of dawn until we fall asleep at night, we are exposed to some form of advertising. Let's face it — when the clock radio wakes us up in the morning or we turn on the TV to catch the daily weather, we are being pitched on products and services. Advertising is all around us and there is a good reason for it. The absolute best product, service or opportunity may be out there, but if there is no advertising, how are we as consumers ever going to find out about it?

In Network Marketing we face a similar issue. Your business opportunity is going to change lives, but how will people find out about it?

Obviously, networkers do not have a multi-million dollar advertising budgets like Nike or Coca-Cola. So what is the most effective way to spread the word about your exciting opportunity?

Face to face Network Marketing works great when you can get in front of people. After all, face to face has been the foundation of building network marketing businesses for decades. Posting flyers or pasting bumper stickers will generate results in your local area as well. But most networkers are quickly learning that this is not the only way.

Most large and highly successful networkers are building locally and nationally simultaneously. These hard-core networkers are advertising on a national level and building large groups in various parts of the country. They have discovered that by advertising nationally, not only are they eliminating everybody’s worst nightmare — COLD CALLING — but qualifying prospects, generating exposure and creating excitement.

Although products, services and pay plans differ, all distributors have one thing in common — they hate to cold call (maybe not you, but probably about 95% of your organization hates it with a passion)! Many networkers will purchase a list, call the first 10 people, then give up out of frustration. Many more never even make the first call! They just stare at the telephone, afraid to dial because they hate to be rejected.

Well, I have good news for you! Ads produce phone calls. If you are hesitant about picking up the phone and calling someone who may be interested in listening to your business opportunity, then what beats someone calling you? Imagine prospects calling YOU, responding to YOUR ad. What a relief that can be. Think about it — people actually calling you because they want information about your business.

When a prospect responds to your ad and contacts you, something else is happening too. First, they have taken the time to read the ad. Second, the ad has just given the prospect an idea about the opportunity. Most importantly, the prospect thinks, “Hmmm…this sounds interesting and I sure would like to quit my J-O-B,” and picks up the phone to call you. Your ad has just qualified a prospect. By designing an ad with information about your Network Marketing opportunity, people who are already interested will call you.

As mentioned earlier, you may have the best business opportunity on the face of the earth, but if no one knows about it, you will not recruit any distributors. Advertising equals exposure. Whether you post fliers, bumper stickers, place an ad in your local newspaper or run it in USA Today, people are going to find out about your business.

Once your ad is placed and the calls start rolling in, business is going to start building. As business builds momentum, excitement will build too. Especially if your downline is involved in the advertising campaign. Momentum and excitement are extremely important in this industry. Having your group involved in an advertising campaign will keep you and them active.

Let's face it folks, to succeed in Network Marketing, you must constantly reach qualified prospects. Whether you're talking face to face with prospects, posting fliers, running classifieds or advertising nationally, promoting your network marketing business is an absolute must. Most hard-core networkers who have achieved financial success build on a nationwide level through advertising. Advertising eliminates COLD CALLING, everyone’s biggest challenge. Advertising also alleviates the fear of rejection and gets qualified people to call you.

So if you're looking for a way to increase your business and feel you've tried all of the traditional avenues, now is the time to start thinking bigger. Be pro-active in your efforts to build your business. Let advertising work for you. There's no better way to build a business than to share it with everyone who is interested. The more people who know about your opportunity, the more people you're going to hear from. So go ahead, stay by the phone — but instead of making the calls, you'll be taking them!
