Indexed in Google in 24 Hours

Did a search through Google today for my newly created blog and found it on page 15 of the search results in position #143. Now, that won't be bringing me much traffic but after doing some of the things taught in today's ThirtyDayChallenge lesson and subsequent lessons, I fully expect it to rise in the search results.

So, what are todays actions?

Social Bookmarking

Ed Dale introduces the SocialMarker.com tool for quickly announcing our new site in the top social bookmarking services. SocialMarker.com is a free service designed to reduce the time and effort needed to socially bookmark a website. I've used Social Marker before so I had a little advantage here because I was already familiar with how the service worked and actually had some social bookmarking accounts already created.

Note to self: I'm flooded with ideas on how to leverage things I'm learning in the Thirty Day Challenge so far and am tempted to jump ahead and start doing things not yet taught in the Challenge. I need to discipline myself to keep to the 30DC timeline and only do the things being taught in the order they are being taught. I want my results with my new blog to be truly representative of how well the Thirty Day Challenge works. Besides, once the Challenge is over at the end of the month, I'll have plenty of time to do all the things I want to do.
